I founded Home Solutions of WNY, Inc. in 2005 and have been doing what I love ever since. My organizational and intuitive skills, enthusiasm, energy, and sense of humor are invaluable tools for serving Home Solutions’ clients.
I started my career with 12 years in the banking industry. Organizing clients’ finances was the foundation for a desire to help people bring order into their lives.
For many years, I ran my own company providing office and organizational services to area businesses. Prior to starting Home Solutions, I was employed for 12 years as a staff accountant with a local CPA firm.
I am an avid perennial gardener who loves playing in the dirt. I also enjoy reading and listening to all kinds of music.
I live in Williamsville, NY with my husband of 45 years, Dick Shaner, Jr. We have two grown sons.
In December 2011, I was named to the Board of Directors of Mental Health Advocates of WNY,Inc. and served for ten years, including time on their executive committee.

In September 2013, Home Solutions earned full membership status in NASMM – the National Association of Senior Move Managers. In 2018, we joined their Circle of Service, honoring commitment to the industry. In 2020, I earned the designation of being a Certified Senior Move Manager, which entailed extensive course work as well as documenting at least 40 move management projects.
Membership in NASMM provides resources that support our commitment to providing client-focused senior move services with compassion and integrity.
As a member of the National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals, (NAPO) I’ve earned “Golden Circle” status in recognition of more than five years in the professional organizing industry.
